Centre for Women and Environmental Security (CWES), a non-profit organization, is going to organize an International Web Conference on Policy Dialogue on September 5-6, 2020. To find practical solutions to climatic fluctuations and mitigate diplomatic hornets-nest this conference focusing on the pandemic, vulnerability, and climate change in South Asia. CWES intends to convene an open platform to discuss and exchange ideas of people from different backgrounds. The conference will bring together more than 100 international and national participants representing the multi-disciplinary and diverse group of stakeholders.
This two-day long conference will be conducted in six sessions as per six sub-themes highlighting climate change and disaster management, waste management, vulnerable groups, impacts on women empowerment, economy, and mental health during a global pandemic. Md. Enamur Rahman, State Minister for the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the people’s republic of Bangladesh, will inaugurate the program at 9.30 am [Bangladesh Standard Time] on September 5.
This conference will take place using the ZOOM application. However, the program will telecast on different social media platforms.
